The machine shop specializes in building specialty motors ranging from flatheads to race motors. Each motor is built custom to certain specifications based on the application. Our in-house machine shop can machine and build any motor combination for your application.

We can modify any aspect of your car to meet your specific needs or wants. GMP has the facility to accomodate any hot rod combination. Whether you're beefing up an existing muscle car or want to create one, GMP is the place.

GMP specializes in building custom, hard to find motors including flatheads, nailheads, and V8 big blocks. If you are interested in having a custom motor built or want to have an existing motor modified, GMP can accomodate it all.
425 BUICK NAILHEAD
This buick was built for a 1964 Riviera. It features extensive cylinder head work, including oversize valves, bowl work, and port work. It also has a custom grind on the camshaft done by Competition Cams.
331 STROKER
This motor was built for one of our Cobra customers. This combo is very popular with our kit car guys. This particular motor features H-beam Rods, COLA Crank and JE Pistons with 185 AFR Cylinder Heads, and Competition Cams Hydraulic Roller. It uses Weber style fuel injection.
230 CHRYSLER
This particular flathead was rebuilt for a 1935 Dodge 2 1/2 ton flatbed. Approximately 10% of all GMP's rebuilds are flatheads, so we average about 15 per year. Flatheads range from Ford 239-255, Hercules, Chryslers and Continentals.
427 SMALL FORD
This combination is actually becoming one of the most common for Small Fords. We began with a Windsor block and stroked it to a 427. This particular combination is using a SCAT 7000 series crank with H-Beam rods and JE Pistons. We used a Competition Cams Solid Roller along with 205cc Dart heads. HP rating is estimated at at 525HP. This motor was built for one of the Factory 5 cars we are currently assembling.
